What about the guy who robs your house when you're checked in as the mayor of a coffee shop?

yeah i wonder about this too. keep in mind that both twitter and facebook do the exact same thing (geolocation) it's just a mere formality if you turn the "feature" on for the general public to see. this one dude i went to highschool with is now some douchey ed-hardy-branded DJ and he was all about that foursquare shit, even going as far as to check in at home for the night (and thus showing everyone where he lived and etc etc)

it's goofy. digital exhibitionism at its finest, and basically people flaunting and boasting the fact that in today's world the once-dreaded technological "big brother is watching you" is seen as a form of vanity and status. brilliant marketing, eh?

On my iPhone there's a program I can use to spoof my location. I've randomly show up in Australia or Europe on Facebook so don't be too sure you can rob someone's house with ease. Maybe only a 99.99% chance you can.

It would be funny if C. Howitt Fealz used this and randomly showed up in, say, Franklin Park or Hodgkins.

What the fuck is foursquare?

It's how people let people know where they are and when they're not how so that they are much easier to rob.

I watched the video explaining foursquare...I was intrigued by getting "awards" or whatever they call them for visiting various locations, but I quickly realized that I'd probably be the mayor of my house and visit no where else. Thus, I'll stick to earning achivements on my Xbox.
