Post subject:  The Blend- with special appearance by MFD 11/12/11
So my Dad's band, The Blend, is playing in Chicago Ridge this Saturday. They are mainly a classic rock cover band (Eagles, Dylan, Doobie Bros, etc), but also play some more modern stuff (Losing My Religion, Save Tonight, All Jacked Up), and even some dance stuff (Disco Inferno, Celebration). All 3 of them are actually really good musicians so whatever they end up covering usually sounds pretty bad ass.

They're playing from 8pm- midnite this Saturday. During their 2 breaks, Doug, Darkside, and myself are gonna fill the time! So we'll end up playing probably 6-8 songs during the night. I would guess their first break would be around 9pm, and the second around 10:15-10:30.

Being that they are playing at an American Legion hall, booze is sure to be cheap. I remember last year they played at a VFW hall and $10 got me 2 mixed drinks, a beer, and a glass of wine. If any of you are in the area, come on out for a bit.

Is this going to be an acoustic set?

Yes, MFD will be acoustic

The Blend is 3 guys. A drummer, and both my Dad and the other guy play guitar and bass, all 3 of them sing.

I'll have the address on hand in case we want to stop by. Be between Oak Brook and Darien so
that isn't all that far in the grand scheme of things. Have a good time no matter what.

I ended up in Glen Ellyn to see another band... oops.... they were called Black Pearl. Not bad.
