Post subject:  Bowling for Burritos IV - preliminary discussion

Let's plan another bowling outing. I don't mind doing the legwork and setting it up at the same place as last time. I have more free game coupons that I could give away. If somebody has another place, and wants to do the leg work, I'm fine with that, too.

Discuss.

Can I throw bowling balls at IMU?

Wouldn't baseballs work better?

I'm cool with the West Chicago place...are you thinking sometime in March? Maybe we can do another one a few weeks later in the City to get SHARK out again?

I was thinking early April. Last time we did this, it was March, and I think a few people backed out because it was Final Four weekend.

Or we can do it earlier in March and watch earlier rounds after bowling.

edit: I'd rather have it in the suburbs, obviously.

Since I'm so centrally located, just about every CSFMB event is close to me, so for once I feel like I need to drive out for some of you westerners, northerners, and southerners.

Quad cities?

Better than that. Maywood.

And I have no interest in going to Iowa anymore, after a certain thing.

As long as I'm free whatever weekend we decide, I'm in. Hopefully I can do better than a 109

Depending on date, I am a maybe. I bowled last weekend for the first time in a long time
and my forearm is still a little sore.

Even those with a long drive shouldn't have a problem getting to Bowling Green in West Chicago. At the last event, Frank, Doug, and Darko all commented that it wasn't a problem getting there, despite the distance.

If I remember correctly, it was only $2 or $3 per game, and I do have some free games to give away.

Bowling Green is big enough to accommodate any size group, and the bar has plenty of room for drinking and watching hoops or baseball afterwards. The 2 Brothers Brewery is only a ten minute drive from the bowling alley, if anyone was so inclined.

I'll probably come by if I'm free that weekend (whatever weekend is chosen). I don't have any excuses, especially since I live down the road.

I think it was a 45 minute drive...no big deal. it's 45 minutes to the City anyway.

sweet....

I think we should make this a private facebook event so we don't get any of the "undesirables" attending.

Most likely in.

Anyone without a spectacular pair of tits that rubs my head will be shoved head-first into the ball-return.

Looks like I'm back in and I've got some head rubbing to do.

Huh?

I won't have an answer until I create a poll asking if the board considers my attendance acceptable.

Depends on the location. I've been to the ones at Irving Park Lanes & MontClare Lanes not far from my house. If I could suggest a couple of other in-city spots, there's Waveland Bowl at Waveland & Western, as well as Habetler (sp?) Bowl. That's the one on Northwest Highway, just off Foster & Central adjacent to the Kennedy Expressway.
