Everyone knows Kerry Wood Whenhealthy was the greatest pitcher in the history of baseball. On Friday, May 18, 2012, a day that will be forever remembered, Mr. Wood Whenhealthy ended his stellar career fittingly, with a strikeout of future Hall of Famer Dayan Viciedo. Mr. Wood Whenhealthy is best known for striking out 20 Houston sluggers some time in the last century. His 80 Cubs wins and his home run vs. the Marlins in Game 7 of the 2003 NLCS are remembered fondly by Cub fans everywhere.
For a mere $40 USD you can be the proud owner of this authentic bleacher ticket from Wood Whenhealthy's final game.

 I just don't like it as a baseball fan. It's not that it's the Cubs. I didn't like when the Sox trotted out Minnie either. And I like both Wood and Minnie. The last time the Sox tried to do it with Minoso, Guillen and Fisk put a stop to it. They could have done it in a better way, Guillen and Fisk are jag-offs, but their philosophy on the matter was correct. I think it diminishes the game.

I prefer to remember his 2-0 record against the Braves in the 2003 NLDS, thank you very much.

Wasn't Wood's last healthy game probably back in high school?

Back in my day...They only sold bleacher seats the day of the game. We would skip school or just get a wild hare and drive up that morning to see a game. They were about $4 a ticket. Murph's bugle got in for free.
I don't remember what year they started pre-selling them. Sometime in the late 80s, I think.

$78 is fucking ridiculous.

Maybe the same ones who pay $92 for one at the Cell? Not sure Sox fans should be authorities on ticket pricing and why, or why not, someone goes to a MLB game.

Cool. $78 for a bleacher ticket is still ridiculous.

Well, I think there's probably more demand for Wrigley bleacher seats than any other seat at either park. Anyway, you don't really have to pay face for them right now. If the Cubs ever get good I'm sure they'll be more expensive and people will pay the price.

You know, we were just talking about that. They were still 4 or 5 bucks well into the 80s, I'm pretty sure. I was making about $8 bucks an hour. It would have to be a real good week for me to make $166 an hour.

First time I sat in the bleachers was 1997-ish, ticket was $15

Yeah, I've got stubs from '98 that were $15.

Sosa changed that in a hurry.

I was going through pictures a year or so ago and found a picture of a friend standing in front of the ticket window in 1993. The prices were unbelievably small compared to now.

Don't remember the exact numbers but the best seat in the house was less than upper deck reserved today.
