Anyone ever read some of the "classics" or books old movies are based on? I started reading "The Godfather" last week and I have to say I am really enjoying it. There are some parts in the book that the movie will touch on for maybe a total of 10 minutes but will go into more detail in the book for about 10-15 pages or things that are skimmed in the book but go into major detail in the movie. Was just curious what older books some of you edumicated types have perused? |

The Musketeers is not simply one book, and it is broken up into five on iBooks (three books from other publishers). I learned right away that there are actually four Musketeers. I highly recommend both Dumas sagas...... |

The count of monte cristo is terrific. After watching Sherlock on PBS, I'm rereading all the Sherlock Holmes novels and stories. I'm a nerd who enjoys 19th century lit. |

Dirty Dozen-Gives you back story on the Dozen.Different/extended ending. All of Shakespeare esp-Henry V(Brahnah version) Dumas is excellent. I am still debating if I want to see the latest version. Conan-WOw Just plain Wow. They got close to how Conan is in the books in the new movie. James Bond-I red he original Fleming books. Very good they get better ,you can see the maturing of the author. Plus they way he describes Bond fits Daniel Craig to a t. |

Shakespeare is great. I am a huge Bond fan, so I will read some of the books. |
