Are you sure you want me to do it? I received much criticism because of the location last time. Most of it was weeks after we settled on a date and place. If the masses want to do it in West Chicago again, I would be happy to set it up. Discuss.

Make sure that Chas knows about it in advance, so he can physically intimidate me.

Any bowling alleys in Elmhurst?

One would think that Steve wouldn't like bowling. The object of the game is to throw a big, black ball, and knock over ten skinny white pins with red necks.

I felt the crowd during out last bowling outing was certainly appropriate.

I wasn't talking about anyone in attendance.

I was talking about the bowlers on the other lanes. And the buses they arrived on.

I rather enjoyed the guy who had his nurse help him bowl. I liked his style.

Not even kidding, that guy had the best time out of anyone in that building.

I'm good with anywhere, depending on the date. Seemed to get a better turnout in the city, but I'm good with West Chicago.

I'd like to do one in Chicago so SHARK can make it out....

How about Circle Bowl in Oak Park/Forest Park area. Lot's of nice rooftops in the area too....

SHARK could still take the blue line if we did Forest Park. I'm gonna have to drive 40-60 minutes anyway so it really doesn't matter to me.

I would say either where ever we can get the biggest turnout, or where ever we can get a hookup for free/cheap games or shoes.

The Green Line would let you off like a block from that bowling alley.

Next time, you'll let people know where that is.

 Hey that bowling alley finally made it to the 20th (yes 20th) century and added computerized scoring about a year or so ago. And it was cheap....I believe they had a summer special that was only 3 bucks per game.

Yes, punk ass FP Parking Enforcement (not cops) gave a ticket 30 minutes prior to the restrictions being over. But if that ever comes up again, you all can park on the street a block away where there are no meters.

Or, we could do Mont Claire bowling alley again around Harlem and Belmont...they have plenty of free parking underneath the bowling alley.....doesn't matter to me....West Chicago was fine.

I just hope I don't choke and throw a gutterball in the 10th frame.

Mont Claire....let's do that place again.

There is more to it than just saying "there is a bowling alley in so and so location". If somebody wants to do the leg work, cool. If not, I can set it up in the last place.

I like my Circle Bowl idea. It's within a block of both CTA & Metra trains, and is kinda centrally located for city people and suburb guys. Make it happen, Spmack. Get us the hometown discount.

I think we were trying to find something that was SHARK-friendly, but location doesn't matter to me.

Yeah I'm not doing legwork so whatever works. If the date is free, I'll be there.

hilarous. I start this thread twice and bigfan deletes it. Someone else starts it and he leaves it alone. What gives, biggie?!

If you want to get SHARK out, do the event at either the Irving Park lanes or at Harlem & Belmont. I'd rather see it done in the city since it means we could potentially draw some radio luminaries. But Chus runs a good event too. I'd put this together myself but then I'd have to show up, and I cannot plan for that with my schedule back up in the air.
