I put my outside decorations out on Saturday. Won't turn them on until Thanksgiving

Once the leaves are gone, you can put up outside decorations at anytime. Though, no lights should be turned on until after Thanksgiving. Inside decorations should not go up until after Thanksgiving.

Outside lights should be turned off after New Years. Outdoor decorations should be taken down by Jan 15. Inside decorations should be taken down in a similar timeframe.

Put up and take down outside decorations weather permitting. I wouldn't turn lights on until after Thanksgiving, and by about New Years they should be off again.

Would today be too early for outside decorations?

Pretty sure I have asked this before about one of my neighbors. He buys a tree as soon as possible and goes full out on the decor inside his place. He might have been done on Nov 1 this year....? And it's a full tree, presents, etc (He lives alone)...yes I find it kinda gay

The day after Thanksgiving...before the 10am kickoff for the IHSA 1A football.

This is how I've been doing it since 2000 or so.

They can stay up all year, they just can only be turned on from Nov. 1st through Feb. 28th.

Putting up the tree and putting decorations on it is the woman's job.

I put up the lights outside the house. I don't touch any of the decorations inside the house. If you have a woman living with you that's her job.

We don't put up Christmas decorations. Saves a bunch of time.

We decorate the house 1 or 2 weeks before Thanksgiving & the lights are turned on on Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving we cut our tree down & put it up. Everything comes down 4 or 5 days after New Years.

What Chris is not telling us is that his wife won't let him put up Christmas decorations in the house...

Whenever in the hell you want to. If it makes you feel better to have them up (& as garish as you want) to hell with the complaints of others you'll likely never hear.

We had gone to Marmion to cut a fresh tree every year from about 1983 to 2010. The tree selection at Marmion has been lousy the last few years so we found a different place out in Dekalb. Went there last year & picked out a tree in about 2 minutes.

It makes him feel like a man and a hero to his family. Can you see him working up a sweat chopping the tree down and carrying it, strong as an ox, our dolphin? Then going back to his beautiful community and happily decorating the tree. Get out the oils Mr Rockwell!

If you use a matrix within an array, there's a 1% chance it makes sense.
