On Saturday , December 15th, 2012, Lightworkers and Loop Ism (promotion companies) in conjunction
with Mia Bella Events are hosting a Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser at St. Timothy church on 6326 N.
Washtenaw (Chicago) from 5pm-11pm in the evening. This is an open to the public communal event exposed to the Chicagoland area. Our key audience are families in the neighboring areas and professionals who are eager to support the Eastern Seaboard recovery efforts.

The event proceeds will benefit two charities; Red Cross of Greater New York and Rebuild Recover in
New Jersey. We are providing entertainment, performances, a buffet, and juice bar at this event to help
raise funds for more relief to aid the East Coast victims still suffering the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy
and the following Nor’Easter Winter Storm Athena. We have full support by these charities, and there
will be a slideshow/ presentation at the event to express the current state of conditions in NYC/ NJ.

Quote:
A 13-day chronicle of the devastating East Coast storm and its aftermath that killed more than 100
people, destroyed whole communities in coastal New York and New Jersey, left tens of thousands
homeless, crippled mass transit, triggered paralyzing gas shortages, inflicted billions of dollars in
infrastructure damage and cut power to more than 8 million homes, some of which remained dark for
weeks. [NY Times]

About Red Cross of Greater New York:

Provided more than 7.4 million meals and snacks through its partnership with the Southern Baptist
Convention to people affected by Sandy in New York and New Jersey. Distributed more than 5.2 million
relief items including cold weather items like coats and blankets and supplies to help people as they
begin the massive clean-up of their neighborhoods. Provided more than 86,000 health services and
mental health contacts for people who have been living in very tough conditions.

The Red Cross response dealt with the unusual cold weather hurricane. Sandy was followed by a
nor’easter that dumped snow and brought frigid temperatures to people struggling without power, and
the Red Cross supplies included more Red Cross blankets, gloves and hand-warmers.

About Rebuild Recover:

We are a grass roots movement, non-profit organization from Red Bank, NJ known as Rebuild Recover.
We work directly with communities in need to find the perfect fit for the right volunteers and resources
to distribute onto them appropriately. Built off of family values, we work as a team to raise funds
and awareness, recruit volunteers, and assign responsibilities to the proper parties in the wake of
destruction and tragedy.

In our efforts, 100% of funds donated to Rebuild Recover will go directly to providing support to
residents and businesses in the areas most affected. Donations will help to provide food, clothing
and shelter for displaced persons. Additionally, donations will help with the remediation of affected

properties, both personal and business, by paying for demolitions and purchasing building supplies.

Rebuild Recover is incorporated as a non-profit and is pending tax-exempt 501©(3) non-profit status by
the IRS.
