Looking to do something over spring break with wife and now 3yr old Rogue jr. Granted he's not as advanced as say a Jason Bernstein was at that age as he cant drive yet and he may be just a year away from Disney but we were searching online and the idea of a cruise that caters to kids came up. Anyone ever done one of things and how did it go?

Don't kids puke a lot when they're not on the ocean?

While it sounds like a good idea and fun for you and your kid, trust me that you do not want to be stuck on a boat with a bunch of other families in the middle of the ocean. There will be screaming kids every where. It will be packed beyond belief in the "kids" areas and you can't go to the "adult" things because you have one kid who is too young to take care of himself.

It will be a complete nightmare. Avoid it at all costs.

My two kids scream and cry enough. The last thing I want is to be trapped with many more.

LOL of to a lot of the post.

Now, there is no way I would take a 3 yr. old on a cruise or any vacation. Hopefully, you have parents or in laws that can watch your kid. Fully understand wanting to do something, but you and your wife or girlfriend or KS need some time to yourself also.

This place is a sanctuary after dealing with sick kids.

I have been on 5 cruises, one with my kids. I don't think I would take a 3 year old on a cruise. Wait a few years.

Kids love trains at that age. And Istanbul. How about a nice reaxing train ride through Asia Minor?

No, I don't hate myself, and I don't have kids so it would be pretty weird.

There should be a contract signed when a child is born that bars parents from taking children on vacations or to non fast food restaurants until they are they age of 8. You have to give up certain things as a parent.

As stated earlier, I wouldn't take my 3 year old on a cruise, but I disagree with you on your statement.

Enjoy the legionaire's disease.

Take that money and go to a place on the beach. It is probably less expensive and the kid will like it more.

This. Little kids love sand and shells, digging, etc. They could spend all day there. Just watch the sun.

Nothing is better than disneyworld. We took our 5,3, & 1.5 year old last summer, the five and three year old were perfect ages (the 1.5 was a bit too young for most of it). We are thinking of going back this summer. So I think your concern that Jr. is a tad too young might be underestimating the Disneyworld experience (particularly the Magic Kingdom)
