Serious requests only, but I am being remarkably serious with this offer.

Long story short when we started planning this wedding over 18 months ago, our initial list of guests was ~200 people, and we ended up inviting 188. I wanted to have an entire table or 2 of CSFMB'ers, but with that number we had to draw a line somewhere. So we initially cut out some of you, and some of her co-workers. Unfortunately we have gotten over 30 RSVP's of No (pregnancies, job changes, and moving are the most common reasons) which is about 50 people, so we're real short on the number of guests we had to guarantee for the room.

We are not even expecting a gift, we've decided that we would rather have the room full and have people eat 'n' drink the food 'n' booze we have to pay for anyway. Its Friday, November 8th 6:30-Midnight in the Oak Lawn area. There are a couple of other CSFMB'ers that are going, so you wouldn't be at a singles table full of random people. Family style dinner, open bar, and if need be we can get gluten free or vegetarian plates.

PM me if you are interested. I need to know for sure by Sunday the 27th. +1's are obviously more than welcome, but please no kids. I hope nobody is offended that they were not invited, and if you are I'm sorry. We're going to have a great wedding day and a great honeymoon regardless, but as I said it would be nice to fill the room up a little more so I figured I'd throw it out there since I do consider many of you here my friends.

Thanks for reading. If you end up coming, that is great! If you post bullshit in there, thats cool too, just make it funny you fuckheads!

Congratulations and thanks. Can I just drop the kids off and come back around midnight for the last chicken dance?

Have a great time. I seriously considered it but after consulting my calendar, won't be able to attend.

Make it Dave Martinez and you might have something there.

Throw in another $100 and she might wear the horse head like the last bride wore there.

Are you keeping the bar open through dinner or will I need to sneak in a flask?

Full disclosure - I'll probably sneak in a flask either way.

Try IKEA!

Hope you guys have a blast and congrats on the wedding! Unfortunately, I have a prior engagement in Evanston at that time, honoring the mother of my best man at my funeral.

We have to give the hall a final count this week, so I need to know for sure by tomorrow. Thanks for all that have inquired, and thanks to those who are coming!

If you had to cut "some of you" and "some of her co-workers", why not invite those particular individuals once you knew you were going to be short of the count needed for the room? So now you are reduced to inviting random internet friends to what should be the biggest day/night of your life as a couple? That's sad. Maybe if things get really desperate, you could offer to pay people to act as chair fillers.....
