Park Ridge location, not sure about the others that are closing or becoming Mariano's. Self-checkout too!

Is that the one with the underground parking lot under it?

Even w/ these prices, I'm sure Aldi's is cheaper.

The last time I was at Dominick's was about a year ago. The wife and I were heading over to her grandparent's house and we made a stop at Dominick's down the street from their house. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we were expecting a madhouse, which is usually the norm for a grocery store on a Sunday afternoon. There was literally only 1 register open with no wait, and only about 3 groups of people in the entire store. It's amazing that Dominick's hung around this long. I've never been in a grocery store that empty, and I've done shopping at 2:00 AM and seen more people around.

Someone told me the one in St. Charles has meat/booze half off on Monday. Everything else already is.

The River Grove store was like a Best Buy on Black Friday last night. And it smelled like nobody there had showered in a week.

Yes.

The shelves looked like something out of the Soviet bloc in the '80s.

I went to one today and all they had left was New Amsterdam vodka and 2 gallon jugs of Sutter Home wine.

The tequila wasn't on the shelf. The lady in front of me at the checkout decided that she didn't want it, after the cashier scanned it. I can't figure out why. $50 bottle of tequila for $31 is a no-brainer.

I'm sorry she's poor.
