Nice.... I love my Mitsu 51" CRT that I got 3-4 years ago. Great picture. If it is as good as that, you will love it. Getting it professionally mounted in the new place? |

I own a 52" DLP Doug, and I've gotta say that in hindsight, I probably would have bought a plasma. The costs associated with the inevitable replacement of the lamp in DLPs are ridiculously high, and while the high def feed on a DLP is as good as a plasma (especially for the price) analog signals look MUCH better on a plasma as opposed to a DLP. But Mitsubishi does do a great job on their picture quality, so you may end up having a different experience in that regard. |

stink.... with the ABT electronics warranty I bought, I get as many bulb replacements necessary in 4 years. i don't like the "look" of plasma's either. i know it sounds weird, but they hurt my super light sensitive 20-10 eyes. and while i may have to replace bulbs...when your t.v. goes, you have to buy a new t.v..... but, to each his own. i will not debate you on the awesomeness of either. |

Have you had to replace the lamp yet? I have a DLP as well, had it for 2.5 yrs and haven't replaced the lamp yet. However, the color wheel is in need of replacement. After talking with some repair place that wanted $140 just to come to my place, on top of the $150 part, I went searching on the net and found a very comprehensive article about doing it yourself, and I think I'm going to try it. Right now it's producing a slight buzzing sound which gets drowned out during sports but during a movie or a sitcom or something is quite noticeable, and I'm sure it's not going to get any better |
