Where can you find a car part that a dealer doesn't make any more? Is there someone that will make it? I've been checking junk yards for about a year for a part and no one has it.

Find the same model on the street. Make sure you bring a mechanic.

Go to that huge junkyard by the South Shore Station in Hammond. Pick and pull.

Some good ones on S. Chicago too. Picked up a used radiator from the one around 92nd and S.Chicago about 10 years ago.

I tried them too. I went to junk yards in the south suburbs and some on the north side. I'm almost at the point of dumping the car because of a part that doesn't cost $100.

Just call every house in Wisconsin. Most people have at least 3 non-working cars parked on their lawn.

first of all, which part for what car? it helps to know what im looking for before i start looking.

but in most cases, you can use carparts.com to search all the junkyards across the country. if you cant find it on there, you have little chance of finding it at all

theyre only good for parts you can find at any other parts store. they do have a wider selection, but youre not going to find many body parts or factory-only items like torsion bars

Yeah Barn, I was told to go to Rock Auto because my rockmobile's Johnson Rod needed some new ball bearings.

You mean pebbles?

No, you idiot, she's to young to drive.

rock auto is one of the best sources for car parts outside of the big 4 (autozone, napa, advanced and oreilly)

youre not a very smart man, but you do eat those chocolates with a certain lust that i just cant deny

It's not my everyday car. I haven't been without a car for a year. It's a Chrysler Pacifica that no junkyard appears to have.

Rear motor mount. Now you can imagine why I didn't mention what it was. Some people would call that a minivan and the part will cause people to come up with a lot of OKC approved jokes.
