Sounds like about as much fun as being locked inside the Auschwitz sauna during the tour.

I'm surprised this concert isn't on the 4th of July. But instead, it is Another Time, Another Place.

damn do I love to hear Where The Streets Have No Name in concert. I've heard it played more than a handful of times over the past 25-30 years and it never fails. They should start every concert with that song just they did for my first U2 concert in high school.

I believe a U2 concert thread was Joe Orr's coming out party on CSFMB where he provided his interpretation of She Move's In Mysterious Ways.

That band hasn't produced much that I like in the last decade and it shows in their concerts. When your most passionate fans are sitting on their hands for the first six or so songs of your show, it may be time to rethink what you are doing. I give them a break because they were nearly perfect for over a decade in the 80s and 90s. That also shows in their concert where they reel off hit after hit.

U2 first got me with Sunday, Bloody Sunday and I fell in love with them with Pride. I don't lose my love just because the object of my affection got old

Yes, and its gotten better through the years. It was fucking awesome on the Joshua Tree tour and just a few little tweaks that have all worked. Its the perfect song for them to play live. (Was formerly Bad, but Bono just doesnt have that in him anymore)

It looks like they really like that song also. The energy level of the band noticeably increases even in preparation for playing it.

what was the last time the produced something that was discernibly Irish?

They get a lot of mileage from their ethnicity but I'd hardly call them an Irish band anymore.

I'm going tomorrow night.
Any one have a parking advice?
I've only been to the UC twice, and I think the most recent time was in fucking 2006.
