So, I have a storage unit that originally cost $90 a month. Fast forward five years and I'm paying $170 and I'm not even sure what all is in there. I want to get rid of the unit so I've slowly begun cleaning it out. I have two paintings done by my ex-wife that were part of a four piece series she did called Ladies. At one time I had all four, but I think the ex painted over two of them. They are oil on wooden pallets. The other day I was arguing with my wife about them. She won't let me hang them in our house. We were at breakfast and my wife appealed to the waitress. She asked her if she would allow a husband or boyfriend to hang a nude painting that was obviously his ex in her home. The waitress simply responded, "Oh, you poor girl." Anyway, one of them is a t0pless self-portrait and the other is an homage to the Mona Lisa. They are free to anyone who seriously wants them. If anyone is actually interested, I'll post a photo and provide the dimensions. In the meantime, here is a link to some of her work: http://www.katebuchen.com/about/ |

If my bestial sweethearts were food they would be underbelly salty, large garlic and hot sauce juju from hell. My nudes have survived the abyss of modern techno culture: sex objects from hell. Those bad girls, risk takers, thrill seekers, all nighters! Some of my creations suck the oxygen from the room with pink sweetness or confectionary sugar. I am an artist and one of the girls that doesn’t pay for tattoos. She looks like a wild ride Joe. |

Can't wait to ask our waitress if it's ok for me to hang nude pictures of the ex-wife of some guy I know from the internet up in our home. |

I’ve survived the double-standard process. My recent works uniquely cry out and beg, bite me, love me, hate me. Nudes dropping F bombs, there’s no poli-correctness in the underground. I paint spontaneously with quick of the moment gestures while music blares to my punk soul. Bestial bitches of beauty, alpha nude survivors of the meat rack sexism of haters. Patti Smith screams, growls the sexual truths, Cobain guitar solos grinding like a deck. Grant Hart of Nova Mob, Raw guitar riffs ooze from Buchen’s immaculate canvas. Holy shit, JORR, how is it possible to have a conversation with this woman let alone live with her? |

After struggling through that "bio", it became readily apparent to me that, contrary to popular opinion, there clearly aren't enough guns in Chicago. |

I'll just assume you grew up with no brothers. They would have told you it was a mistake when you told them you were going to propose and saved you the trouble. If I was your life I would want you to put one of those paintings in each room as a reminder of my superiority. |

If I was your life I would want you to put one of those paintings in each room as a reminder of my superiority. My ex-wife is a total sweetheart. I don't regret one minute with her. Sure, she could get crazy, but who can't? And I'm certain I was far from a perfect husband. Anyway, here are the two paintings. I like them both. I wish I still had the other two. They had rainy backgrounds. It was a nice set. I don't think the artist herself was fond of them. I believe she painted right over the other two despite my protests. They're 24" x 24", oil on wood. I'll give them away to anyone who likes them. I'm not throwing them out. She might be famous one day. |
