I got a guy...but I don't think he would be willing to come over from Michigan.

My advice...considering we live in a snapchat/vine type of world, get IMU to come over with his iPhone and just take 10 second videos at a time...with all of the starts and stops, it will be like a living flipbook.

Put the 1k in the bank. You will watch the movie once. If you make others watch it they will hate you for it.

#Truth

My vote would be skip the video guy and put the money towards an open bar if it isn't already in the cards.

But if you must, maybe talk to the photographer and see who they would recommend?

This is my opinion. My first wife's sister and brother in law paid for our wedding to be video taped as their gift to us. I was married for 9 years and we never watched it once. With social media and phones you could probably gather footage from friends and family and make your own

This is crap. He should have to pay the five grand for no apparent reason just like the rest of us did. It's a rite of passage.

Have you seen the Chcken McNugget competition? Eaglo Jeff is for hire.

Just my opinion from seeing peoples photos and videos....they suck...they are boring and staged.

Have 1 photographer taking your classic boring photos, then hire someone else to just take pics with a good camera and keep the disks to go through later...the raw pics are so much better.

You kinda have to direct your photographer and guests. We have a lot of planned shots with family, wedding party, and friends. We told people we'd do them thru dinner and planned for certain ones between mass and the reception. After that is was all in the moment stuff. Good times.

I love our wedding video.

If you really want video evidence just buy a three moderately priced video cameras and give one to your groomsman and another to each family table and tell them to shoot whatever they like whenever they like. This will cost you like $400 and you get to keep the cameras and the videos will likely be more authentic and interesting than staged shots and "interviews".

In the ten years that I was married, I watched my wedding video once...a week after with family from out of town. Never again after that.

Getting quality pictures is WAY more important. If you have the extra dough, why not get a videographer I guess.

And hey! The McNugget Competition would have been a thing of beauty if I hadn't used a re-fabbed Sony piece of crap that wouldn't keep focus!! (I hope that thing is in a garbage dump somewhere now)

I might just suggest that one of your friends or family members that has an iphone 6S shoot the video. I would think that at least someone in your wedding might have a steady cam attachment for the 6S. It takes really amazing vids and you can download editing software for it....much cheaper than having a videographer.

yeah, i'm gonna say skip the video. just have your friends use their phones. create a youtube accnt and give guests access to upload. start a #hashtag on facebook, twitter, etc...

I watched my 1st wedding video once. the 2nd wedding was iphones and galaxie clips.
