It's been fantastic for decades. I had kind of forgotten about it for a while. I went there first thing this morning to pick up some birthday treats for someone in the office. Maybe the best coffee cake in the city.

Swedish Bakery is definitely very good, but my preference is Dinkel's, which has raised its quality across-the-board over the past two or three years. I used to like going into that Natalina's Pastry place down the street from Swedish Bakery--if for no other reason than it was run by a semi-hot crazy chick who enjoyed bragging of her sexual exploits in the bakery bathroom--but it's no longer open.

Dinkel's has become my #1 donut place. Forget standing in line at the hipster places.

Has anyone tried Firecracker donuts downtown?

I just saw a Bar Rescue with a guy in Austin, TX named Tim who owned a bar named The Brixton. Tim told his customers they were douchebags. He reminded me of that chick from Pasticerria Natalina.

This sentence can be read about 15 different ways.

My hope is she's bragging about her exploits in the closed bathroom because I then have to believe that they are continuing in another location - perhaps another bathroom at that location that is open.

Your post is quite possibly suspect.

I bought Firecake Donuts for the staff today. Very good. Not quite as douchey as The Vault. Still, I was standing there at 7:25 in plain view of two workers and no one unlocked the door. I also feel like a chump throwing down $3 for a donut but these things were as a wide as a porn star's vagina, so it didn't feel like a total ripoff.

Overall, it gets my approval for an occasional visit.
