went to the local manifest on Friday night. I won a bike and rode it home in a bad state along Devon Avenue. That would have been an embarrassing way to die.

Saturday at Lincoln square was freezing which kept the crowds way down. Maifest apparently was gayfest this year. lots of mustaches and tank tops even in the cold weather.

Hey, people leave your dogs at home! (sung to Pink Floyd). Honestly, those poor animals look frightened by the loud sounds and crowds. When they are agitated they snap at other dogs.

Great time as always. Hung out with my best friend another friend and my wife. It was three hours of great conversation, decent beer and fun music. As always, I ate the sauerkraut the other three didn't want and it caused problems late at night. I know I'm a true Slav because I could survive on bread and cabbage.

Went Friday night and couldn't have been a better evening. A beautiful summer night with the oompah music bumping and beers flowing. Probably had one beer too many but made it safely home bicycling through neighborhood streets.

I've been using the same "I live on this street" line for over 25 years.
