The Niles Grill(Family Diner) by Golf Mill on Milwaukee has become a go to spot for morning meetings in the area.

An old Eastern Euro guy cooking, his hot niece and her friend are the only waitresses. I think it's in an old I-Hop.

May as well be Greek.

The Full Moon, on 41 just north of Lake Bluff is about as Greek as you can get.

-Open 24 hours
-Beat down waitresses, either big assed or scrawny...all smokers. Very likely have had to perform certain special duties for the management.

We built a house for the owner of Full Moon back in the day. He paid for the whole thing with boxes of cash as I recall. I swear the guy was almost never at home. He was at that restaurant 24/7.

Was Omega in Downers Grove considered a Greek Diner? I mean, the name is literally a greek letter but it served "American food".

Anyways, I vote for that even though I don't think it is old school dining but I guess we are talking about Greek diners.

That's definitely a Greek diner, by the way. I didn't have to look further than the broiled chops steak w/ eggs or the broiled calf's liver served ala carte.

Omega might be the definitive Greek diner but you have to drive past the superior Juicy-O on Finley to get to it. They give you a free dish of homemade donut holes there. Right next to where Flip Side records used to be.

That's the place. Definitely a Greek diner. Another one we used to go to after the races was Phoenix on Lawrence and Cumberland. It's gone now too.



Is that place any good? I've driven past it a million times going to Lucky Magee's. Right across the street from the stale bread outlet store. It's definitely an old IHOP building.



I'm guessing that's the same Omega as the one on Golf Road in Niles. Definitely a Greek coffee shop.
