Lucky Burger?

I think I saw them on GrubHub. Never tried them. Pretty sure they're brand new.

Honestly though, spend some money on fries at a real restaurant. There are some delicious fries out there.

The world clamors for an IMU food blog.

Or at least my mom suggested it once.

Some out of state nurses at the Embassy Suites on Mag Mile enjoyed my pizza recs yesterday though.

DMK Burger Bar looks to have all of their fries under $5.

Maple & Ash has fries for $8 but a loaded baked potato is $22 so I'll pass.

Au Cheval looks promising though.

DMK fries are $5 for a small, $7 for a large.

Ok, $5 or less. Two of them are $3.50 too.

I mean, if I go to McDonalds and order 10 bags of fries it is over $5 too.

I think the parameters for this article was that they had to be hand cut and just the basic, no-topping fries.

Not sure about the place in Lake Bluff, but in that northern Lake County area...pickins are kind of slim...O'Toole's in Gurnee is the consistently best burger I've had around there...

Now that the Kuma's has opened in Vernon Hills, that's pretty good, too.

Yeah I agree. Kuma's is good, but it's always crowded. The O'Toole's in Libertyville seems consistently bland. Oscar Lee's has a good burger, but it's only on the menu on Saturday night. Can do without the weird goat cheese additions as well.

The only time I was in Kuma's was mid afternoon on a Monday after a doctor's appointment. So it was empty. I've only been to the Libertyville location once...I wasn't that impressed, but the Gurnee and Lake Villa ones have been a bit better for me.

The burger at The Claim Company in the mall wasn't bad, but when I eat there, I usually get something else.

The parmesan truffle fries are at a place called Inovasi.

Maevery Public House has great fries too. Their deviled eggs are over the top.

Maevery also provides a small menu to Lake Bluff Brewery.

I'm bummed I didn't get to go that day.

May could be a Derby or cinco de mayo burger.

I have to ask and you can pm the ainser if you want but how did this (food service) all come about? Do you have a culinary background? Do you make fantastic burgers and wanted to share it with the world? Have you always been involved with food? What's your story? It's so fascinating and exciting to me. Especially burgers, "sandwiches" or shellfish.

Unless somebody has an amazing come -to-Jesus idea, we are looking at a burger with shredded mozzarella, Italian beef, and gardiniera on it. It's pretty darn good.

Today is national burger day. I made brat burgers with pimento cheese. June doesn't have much of an identity except end of school.

Italian beef burger is fine.

Summer Solstice Burger

To celebrate the longest day of the year and the first day of summer.

An oversized 15 oz burger to match the hours of sunlight on June 21st. Make the burger oval rather than round. Bacon and 2 Sunnyside up eggs.
