We bought starfruit at Caputo's last week. Tastes like a giant, mildly citrus grape.

You need to include Seinfeld quotes in your CSFMB rankings of suck

The Seinfeld quotes amuse me.

And IMU, as my work schedule actually has me getting home at a normal time, I have been cooking a lot and bringing in leftovers lately. Today would have been shredded BBQ pork that I made in the slow cooker with some cheesy potatoes. Instead, it will be dinner tonight.

No

I don't have any interest in you dying a slow, painful death, because that would mean I need too change the rankings of bad.

Whole Foods Gumbo. Actually not bad, considering I scooped the sausage and shrimp into my cup picking around the rice.

good job, midge. that's tough to do during this time of year. kudos! hope you have developed a taste for some of the stuff you've eaten, although i'm not sure what your diet was before this.

Thanks. I like eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, but the problem is that I absolutely love sweets, especially ice cream. So the trick for me is just to maintain some balance when it comes to the bad stuff rather than devouring a quart of ice cream in ten minutes. Finding time to exercise is also important. Fortunately, I have really become enthusiastic about outdoor running, an activity that is much more convenient for me to do than going to a gym. Right now I run about 25 miles per week, and that obviously makes a huge difference in terms of weight loss.

yes; it's unfortunate that it's so cold but if you can handle that, then go for it. you will get away with eating a lot more crap when you're running it off. but it always helps to have those "good" substitutes, too, just to maintain a better diet habit. use those sweets as a reward.

that's normally what i do. i don't eat bad stuff until the weekend. and that's when i drink, too. during this period of the year, almost every day is a weekend. and when i go home next week, i'm eating and drinking a whole shitload of garbage.

So yesterday the GF and I went to Rex. We split stuffed eggplant and chicken limone. Went to her sister's house and had some noodle soup (raw bean sprouts, green onions and cilantro in the bowl, add the stock which had rice noodles, pieces of beef and meatballs). We picked up a turtle cheesecake at Eli's, too.
