I'm breaking my Ribeye only rule and grilling Porterhouse tonight.

Kebabs are ready to go -- did some marinade of the chicken in ranch dressing -- never tried or even heard of that before, so we'll see how it goes. Also some beef to be safe. :)

I've been buying locally produced brats at a number of grocery stores and meat markets the last year and these were just calling to me when I was at
Woodmans last night. They have been the best of the bunch thus far.

Speaking of Sausage, Marianos makes their own Italian Sausage and it is fantastic...and is only $2.49 per pound. They have a great meat counter.

Can't Junior has a baseball game, plus I want to let you have a little practice before I pertake in a IMU grilling.

Fair enough.

I used to grill a bit when I was younger, but it definitely has been a few years. And I kept it basic in the past. Definitely want to open it up a bit now.

how do you guys know this AM what you are going to grill 10 hours in the future?

last night I walk in and ask the wife: what are we having for dinner?
Salmon
OK, how are you making it?
You're making it.
OK!
15 minutes in bottled teriyaki marinate while I get the hardwood chunk coals going.
at first was worried I didn't have enough coals going, but it turned out perfect. Low and slow style. the skin was perfect and crispy.
garnish with a chiffonade of lemon zest and fresh ginger
drizzle reduced marinade
BAM as Emeril used to say.

I won't just go to the store and throw anything on the grill, it has to marinate for me to really enjoy it. Therefore I have to pre plan things.

you shouldn't really need to marinate a strip steak
