I was at Binnys a few weeks ago and I pretty much just bought what looked featured which ended up being Pipeworks and Half Acre. Any other suggestions for next time? I've had a lot of Revolution and Two Brothers also.

Moody Tongue, Sketchbook, and Maplewood. Depends what you like though.

Depends on styles of beer you enjoy.

I consider Pipeworks and Half Acre the two most well-rounded breweries in Chicago. They brew across the spectrum of beer styles and all very tasty.

Hop Butcher for the World is probably the hottest brewer right now in Chicagoland as they specialize in trendy NEIPAs.

Maplewood and Noon Whistle are two solid breweries whose best offerings are IPAs and NEIPAs.

Spiteful Brewing is a great choice if you're looking for stouts/porters/IPAs. They're introducing some interesting mixed themed 4-packs.

If you're venturing into the city to actually visit brewpubs/breweries (these don't package or widely distribute their best beers...yet) I'd recommend:

Dovetail - amazing German/European focused beers
Forbidden Root - wide variety of styles
Corridor - NEIPA focused brewpub

Lagunitas if we want to call that Chicago now. They are fantastic. Get the Hairy Eyeball.

Those Noon Whistle cans are pretty cool -- the entire top opens up, not just a little pour hole.

Finch is a good one. We all know my love for Revolution.

Does Half Acre have Gossamer in cans still or has that been long gone? I was at the Balmoral location and it wasn't on the menu.
