Inspired by Pittmike's post in the VD thread, I just picked up one of these, and we made a few things in it so far.

Anyone who has one, please post what you have cooked in this thing.

We have so far made beef roast, prime rib, chicken, and pork shoulder.

Also, shout out to: viewtopic.php?f=43&t=105189&p=2663656&hilit=+instant+pot+#p2663656

Dude I make everything. I mean all of it. Just google. I have done hard boiled eggs and mentioned potatoes, pulled pork roast, barbacoa and man it is just delicious. Also Asian dishes.

Crock pot is going on the garbage.

We've done all kinds of stuff in ours, 3 kinds of chili, rice, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, Korean short ribs, beef stew, skirt steak, barbacoa, ricotta cheese, and more.

I'm still slummin' it on a Crock-Pot but I made some very good barbecue chicken thighs in it today.

They are still good but sometimes things dry if at work too long.

I had the opposite problem. Between the onions I added to the barbecue sauce and the juices from the chicken, they were practically swimming in there. Still tasted fantastic, just ended up with an awful lot of liquid. I'll get it right one of these days.

Yeah that stuff is easier but I would dry out a pork roast or chuck roast.

Just picked one up this week as well.

Pot roast came out great. That's all we used it for so far. Probably try some other stuff this weekend.

Yeah as it is good. We have a Crock a Pot ourselves. It is good to cook great meals either long time or in less time when you are on the go.

How about posting some recipes? I've got one of these, too, but it's just sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Drop the knowledge hammer on me, CFMB.

I am not trying to be lazy to help you but I literally google thousands. The usual suspects like Food Network and All Recipies etc. I like this one some: https://www.365daysofcrockpot.com/categ ... stant-pot/

I also put baby carrots in there with the meat.

I didn't do the corn starch part out of laziness either. It was really good anyways.

SO,it is really worth upgrading from a slowcooker/crock pot? I use mine a lot so If I can do all I do now with this what is the advantage of this over what I have now?

It is different. You can do a meal in about an hour instead of eight. You also can saute and then pressure cook in the same thing.

I still use the slow cooker for slow cooking.

Well,I am looking to learn another ethnic style to cook. I am thinking Indian or Mid-Eastern like Lebanese.
