Who's got a green thumb?

I got a late start but have a couple planters and a small patch going.

Tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce hot peppers, carrots, eggplant, beans, peapods, mint for mojitos and basil. The watermelon seeds never germinated, so I have a bare mound right in the middle of things. By cracky!

My wife planted tomatoes and is teaching my 5 year old about gardening.

It doesn't help that she forgets to water them half the time.

We're raising another generation of professional plant killers.

My wife stays away. I'm letting the kids help with the watering.

The cucumber plant I planted is loving this weather...it's out of control.

Tomatoes and jalapeños only for me.

My first tomato of the season will be ready today or tomorrow. 4 large tomato plants, 3 cherry tomatoes, and 4 jalapeños. I have 5 planters, a raised flowerbed, and a small garden. I used to grow bell peppers and cucumbers with lackluster results so I stopped.

I’ve got a really small space that gets enough sun so I only have 2 tomato plants and 3 assorted peppers. But I’ve gotten a few tomatoes already that were really good. I just never get why the plants arent very big or robust and the yield isn’t great. I think it’s the soil

I think you're right. Do you get new soil every year? I always plant my tomatoes in a couple bags of garden soil specifically for vegetables. It's the same soil I use in my planters. My tomatoes have always done very well.

We started pumpkins, watermelons, and tomatoes back in May. The pumpkins seem to be out of control.

My wife does all the vegetables, and I do the hot peppers.

She has tomatoes, carrots, beets, cantaloupe, cucumbers etc.

I have habaneros, Ghost, Scorpion and Reapers going. It is going to be a hot fall.

The wife is loosing her mind over the chipmunks mocking her as they chew on the tomatoes but still, we are enjoying a bountiful harvest.

With some of the peppers she made fresh giardiniera. Looking forward to that.

My tomatoes are doing great with a perfect haul everyday. 3 pots of jalapeños are loaded 1” peppers and I will get slammed all at once.

My peppers of various kinds are doing great as are green beans. Tomatoes are slower. Plants got big fast but then came the heat wave and drought. I also am surprised in the new yard that the deer eat the tops of tomato plants. I did not think they would like them.
