Oreo Thins.

My favorite used to be the chocolate chip cookie made for Jewel's Signature Select line (no longer made) called The Decadent.

Cheryl & Co. makes a fine sugar cookie.

Crumbl has some decent options.

Nothing beats homemade chocolate chip. Maybe homemade oatmeal scotchies…

Specific to grocery store made. Mariano's choc chip is top notch. I'm talking the box of 10 in the paper box not the 24 pack in plqstic

Mariano’s all butter choc chip are legit. Fresh market has a great toffee choc chip too.

A good homemade choc chip. Nothing beats it or even comes close.

of course home made over everything else.

I love chocolate chip. I have come to appreciate sugar cookies much. I have started to like shortbread more.

I think the best you can get in the store are those le petite ecolier cookies. It's kind of unfair because the layer of chocolate is sufficiently think that they are as much candy as cookie.

Nope. Very possible.

LTG would have said the crumbs of Aldi brand vanilla wafer cookies and STUCK to it. Now be a man.

If you like soft cookies these are both good. At Christmas I halved the chips and used andes mint bits and added some peppermint extract They were good.

Nothing Mariano's produces from its Bakery is top notch. The large chocolate chip cookies from Jewels are better.

I'll put my homemade chocolate chip cookies up against anyone else here. Mine are legit. Two kinds of flour, two kinds of sugar, brown butter, some espresso powder. My cookies come from a little town called Not Fucking Aroundville.

Comparing grocery store bakery donuts, theirs are better than da Jewels...the glaze at least doesn't taste like chalk

Most grocery bakeries probably use high ratio shortening for their stuff. High ratio means you can use higher levels of liquor and sugar to flour. Sugar is hydroscopic so things will be moist and have a longer shelf life and that's why some seem cloyingly sweet with little other flavor. I always miss the taste butter gives in those cookies.

I like the fire and the pashun here

Prior note....the Mariano's bakery have different cookies. The regular bakery one are nothing special and you're probably correct on da Juuls being better.

Christie Cookie Co sold at Mariano's.....this is the best you will find in a grocery store. They are amazing.

Truth.

But I rarely eat cookies outside of them or Thin Mints.

Sometimes you just have to look to the cookie.

I'm a homemade or good bakery chocolate chip guy. Store bought in a bag? Sometimes I get the hankering for a ginger snap.

anything in those Pepperidge farm vertical bags are good (Milano, Geneva, Verona)...Tim Tams if you can find them are a treat, esp the Double Coat ones. Pepperidge Farm briefly sold them in the U.S.. Haven't seen 'em on store shelves in a few years and not gonna pay Amazon prices for stale imported TimTams.
