Not proud to be a smoker but I wonder what the boards choices of cigarettes are. I smoke non filter Kentuckys Best. Smoked Marlboro reds for years but after switching to these all tobacco cigs I cannot smoke anything else. I can taste the dirt and flavorings that are in most cigarettes. These are all tobacco and very mild for a non filter. If this thread has been covered before I apologize. Just curious about your thoughts.

Marlboro Reds. But like 95% of other smokers I'm in the process of quitting.

Started 21 years ago on Camel, went to Camel Light, then Marlboro Lights, Marlboro Ultra Lights, then Parliament Lights.
I quit cold turkey in May 2009.

I started with Marlboros but smoke Kentucky's Best lights now. Switched when taxes increased a couple of years ago and been happy with these.

How do the KY best lights taste? Most lights taste like air. I also switched when I lived in Illinois. Ky best were two bucks less per pack. And much better.

nobody ever really quits.

when i was a regular smoker it was marlboro lights and p-funks for a while. for fun i had dunhills and chesterfield unfiltered. didn't last when the prices got raised.

once in a while, a cigarette is nice. especially camel turkish silvers, or american spirit. strong but mild. lot of flavor.

AM Spirits are real good but you have to draw them like inhaling a straw or they go out.(Insert joke here.)

This.

And I'm the same as FF. When I'm in quit mode I can stay off them decently, but once the drinks start flowing it's all over.

I quit for a variety of reasons.
I just decided on my 35th birthday that that was enough after almost 20 years.
Breathing feels better.
Smokes cost like $6 a pack here in Wisco.
I don't know what the tobacco co's do to make smokes "fire safe", other than
add chemicals or some shit, but I quit right around that time.
They didn't taste the same.

My wife smokes in our place when our daughter isn't in the room, and after 2.5 years, I've not one puff.
Do I want to smoke sometimes? - yes, but I think I've crossed that river.

KY Best are all tobacco with a touch of chocolate flavoring. And smooth as silk.

Drinking and working is when it's the worst. If I'm taking it down a notch from Reds I'm partial to Camel Turkish Royals myself.

oh, for 8 years i never had a cigarette after i quit. wasn't until i moved back here that i would have a few when i drank. then i stopped that, too. but occasionally i'll have one. so, i'm not a regular smoker by any means. but i can't say i'm a 100% non smoker either.

and i was just quoting a movie.

Well I had been smoking Marlboro lights for years when I switched, so I don't know that I can really answer your question. I tried a few other cheaper light brands but liked these the best. $2 a pack less helps too! :)

I'm only speaking for myself with no judgement or anything.
There is a reason I don't gamble, play the Lottery, cheated on a girlfriend (past) my wife (now) or have ever touched hard drugs.
I think I would like it too much. :(
I drink like a fish, but it's still amazing to me that I haven't relapsed into smoking after almost 3 years.
It's all or nothing. I've never understood (again, no judgement to anyone) the social smoker.

it just depends on the person. i've had some nights that i've woken up the next morning and had the shakes from withdrawal (smoking) and it kinda scared me. but my life routine kinda canceled it out and there are far greater gaps when i will have a cigarette; and it'll only be just one.

trust me, you're in a good position--and if you never smoke again, that's always good.

I smoked Kools from 1975 to 1983 & quit cold turkey in 1983 & haven't had a puff since.

I did. I haven't smoked a cigarette since December 2, 1994.

started with the Benson and Hedges and Virginia Slims my buddies could steal from their folks, moved up to Marlboro reds and Camel shorts, then switched to Merits in HS (girlfriends Dad's brand) smoked 'em hard up until we had kids. now will usually buy a pack or two of Marlboro Lights during a refueling outage at work- you can keep up on the straight shit on the smoke pad. once in a while will bum one at the bar- Camel shorts from a buddy of late...

I have never smoked or took a drag off a cigarette in my life. I also have a strict policy on dating women who smoke, won't do it!!

I started smoking at 14 by stealing my father's Winstons. From there I went to Marlboro Reds until about 18 years old, and then switched to Marlboro Menthol. Smoked Ultra Lights until about a year or so ago. Haven't smoked since.

Good luck! Let us know how it works out. I'm especially interested in any side effects.
