Anyone ever eat at a Ballydoyle's? Tora danced at the one in bloomingdale friday and will be dancing at the aurora and downers one in the future and was curious if the food is decent. I didn't have anything to eat there but was curious what they are known for or if they have anything that is worth checking out.

I ate at the Downers Grove one a couple of times. I didn't have anything spectacular, but nothing horrible either. From what I remember, it seems about a buck or two more than what you should spend for what you get, but you are getting that atmosphere that I guess is worth it?

Across the street from the Downers Grove one is a really neat family board game store if you are in to that sort of thing. They range from ubergeek type stuff to things that kids can play but aren't on sale at Target. I recommend a stop there. Also the Busy Bee Bakery is worth a drop in... they are just up the block. Surly service, but I've really enjoyed their product.

Food is nothing great. Decor is over the top. And they charge cover to get in on Fridays and weekends to listen to crappy music that is WAY too loud for people who just want to have a beer.

They do have a beer garden in DG, though. And the U2 cover band "Elevation" plays there once in a while. Also, they show soccer games weekend mornings.

They are pretty right on with their reviews. Service can be pretty bad sometimes.

Lemon Tree grocery has a little section and really good food if you guys are ever in the area again.

Thanks for letting me know. I know she will be doing the shows from time to time and we might make a evening of it or afternoon of it before hand and was curious what to expect.
