Figures I go on a diet and then this place opens up a block from my condo :(

Its in the strip mall with Jewels at Elston and Addison, next to the Subway.

Stopped in there a couple times this week to get stuff for the wife for her birthday, tried some samples and damn everything in there is awesome. Cakes, pastries, etc.

They also have egg sandwiches that sound really good, gonna go try one for breakfast one day.

JORR, this on your radar yet?

Just drove by, not a newer bakery guy. I will let JORR handle this review.

I went by here but it isn't open yet. I checked out the website and it said "Coming Soon". But I also noticed they have other locations and I've actually been to the one on Route 31 in Algonquin. Pretty good stuff.

It's been open for 3 weeks. I went there Monday and Tuesday of this week. You sure you went to the right place?

Bernstein gets there at 1:30 for half off.

2 places I like. One is on Sheffield right before Irving and the other on Lawrence across from the Crafty Beaver. Both handmade stuff, first one might be greek owned the second is European owners, they do the real Bavarian creme

Yeah, by the O'Reilly's. Maybe I was too late in the day.

I don't see why you would feel the need to go anywhere but Dinkel's in that area...or Swedish Bakery if you want to venture a little farther.

Greece is in Europe.

Yeah, Dinkel's is absolutely fantastic, far better than the overhyped Bittersweet, which benefits from Yuppie cache, but not much else. In my estimation, Swedish Bakery stands a notch below Dinkel's, but it's still very good. If I'm on West Lawrence Avenue, I typically make a point of stopping at Delightful Pastries. They make very good to excellent Paczki every day of the year!

Yeah, Dinkel's is great but I do a lot of business with a guy at Albany & Waveland so this place is convenient. I guess I shouldnt have expected it to be open at 7 on a Friday evening.

If you are ever on the road to poverty out in Hinsdale, this place is better than any other bakery full of gluten.
