Used to go there all of the time when they were on the corner of Lake and Harlem. Favorite meal was the Chicken Alfredo.

I drove past it the other day. There used to be an Italian restaurant on that corner, ciao, via, or bella something. I think there was a location in Wheeling too. I liked that place. It was a breakfast place for a while too. I can't figure why it keeps shutting down. That Connies doesn't look like it's going to reopen.

I think the DG one is replacing the Oak Brook/Lombard location. The Schaumburg location is closed, as well.

Best part about that disc was the behind-the-scenes footage of The Dark Side of the Moon recordings that were happening at Abbey Road.

As for the restaurant, the best thing Pompeii makes is their "Marie's" Italian salad dressing. Mix that with a little fresh garlic, and make a salad with romaine, granny smith apple, red onion, toasted walnuts, and blue cheese for one of the best salads you can imagine.
