I live at Addison and Elston, bought my place in 2008. Now, several years later we finally have a respectable number of quality culinary options that would rival the fancier neighborhoods closer to the heart of the city.

Kuma's Corner
Honey Butter Fried Chicken
Little Bucharest
Sugar Hills Bakery
Chief O'Neils
Beograd Cafe
Small's BBQ
Pork Shoppe
Ja-Yen
La Villa
Smoque
Olga's Deli
Olive Garden

There's also a couple new places that just opened on Irving Park by La Pasadita that look interesting.

Have 2 clients who have bought places in the area and the past 6 months have seen a large number of 2 flats in the area sell, along with a number of commercial developments going up.

Its an area that someone can start a business with an affordable rent on the N side of the city and it will continue to thrive until those rents go so high that it will price out more people.

Shakes...even though it is a little further on Elston. Chicken Werks. Really good healthy stuff. was very impressed.

Went to Chicken Works when it first opened, it was good but a little boring. Basically all they have is grilled chicken which is fine if you're into that kind of thing. If it wasn't a pain to deal with parking over there I would probably go back.

Oh another one I missed is The Alps, really solid breakfast place on that corner.

Glad to hear about your clients buying places....hopefully that means the place is getting hot and the property values will go up! Would be nice if my condo was worth more than what I paid for it for the first time in years.

Munchies is another one. Hot dog stand that makes surprisingly good pizza. Better than the more famous pizza places that deliver to me.

Maybe we should break down the plethora of options at 143rd & Bell Rd, and/or 159th & 94th ave.
