This is in the Rosemont Entertainment District. It is relatively new so it doesn't have the filthy feel of Wells Street. It was a really good time with decent food and non watered down drinks. There was an opening act/emcee who looked like Harry, except he was funny. The acts joked about being stuck in the suburbs. Good times and I'd definitely recommend it.

On another note, I rescind all previous support for that District. It has matured into a clownshow of underaged suburbanites getting dressed in what they think an adult wears for a night out on the town and getting shitfaced. Even the Hofbrauhaus seemed different.

I'll go back to Zanies for a show. I don't think I'll be going back for anything else.

Nope.

I think they have an 8 story garage. All the idiots circle the lot on the 2nd or 3rd floor and can't find a spot. If you go up to the 5th or 6th, it's practically empty.

Good Dolphin is spot on about the people that visit this place. I went there for the first time a couple weeks ago, and was not very impressed. Also, Hofbrauhaus fucking blows.

I recall liking one of the beers at Hofbrauhaus. Don't remember what it was though. The food and the schtick sucked though.

Oh my God, yes. We went there a earlier in the evening when there weren't a lot of people. Took 25 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered boiled sausage, so they came in these giant, water filled corning-ware pots. The fucking moron carrying it dropped it all over the restaurant. I got hit with shards of the corning-ware. Took another 15 minutes to get the food delivered out again. No apologies, no discount. After waiting all that time, the sausage tasted terrible.
