One year ago I would not have said that. I was eating all the same stuff you all love. Burgers, Pizza, soda and beers. Oh...and plenty of rum.

Teen-agers can stop reading this now. This is for the over 30 somethings: Before it's too late STOP destroying your immune systems with garbage. Yes, the pizza (wheat gluten) soda (high fructose corn syrup) and ALL packaged and restaurant food (modified food starch, high sugar & salt content and a list of poisons too numerous to list) result in a list of auto-immune chronic illnesses.

Type 2 diabetes, Celiac, high blood pressure, gout, crohn's, fibromyalgia, alzheimer's and obesity are just a few of the things you have to look forward to. There's absolutely no way to avoid it. It's only a matter of time before it catches up to you. Some will get sick later than others, but everybody not born on Krypton WILL come down with one of these things because of the shit we choose to eat and drink since the start of the industrial revolution.

I know this may sound like madness to Chicagoans. You love your food but it won't love you in the long run. I'll leave it here for now......

LOL! I didn't expect responses like this. Just couldn't resist trying to pass on some brutal truth.

Hatchetman: My gramma lived to be 97 and she ate shit for the final 50 or so years. But citing your Dad or my G Ma as normal is wrong. They were both one in a 100. By the way, her last 10 years were horrible. Died in a funky nursing home with alzheimers.

I plan on dying at the same age, but while digging up root veggies in my garden, or shoveling snow.

Rick: my thoughts are horrible? What's more horrible is the damage you and your uninformed ilk are doing to yourselves and your children. The information is out there. You need to check it out.

Aha! You're no fool. An excellent lunch choice. And the occasional chicken wing is no problem. I'm guessing you know what Monsanto's GMO's are doing to the corn and other feeds passed on to us from the steroid, saline, antibiotic infused animals we eat.

Here Drink some Diet Coke!

I am not going to claim I know what the GMOs do, but never even heard about a kid with a peanut allergy growing up, now entire schools dont allow them.

I hate Peanut Butter, always have....but 90% of the kids had Peanut butter for lunch...now their kids will die if they touch it?

I cook most nights, you do what you can. I am not the Kilters with my root cellar and a deer I killed last week that will last me through the winter!

I don't have a web cam or a scanner, but I assure you that I DO in fact look like that guy, only thinner. Six foot even, 142 lbs....same as when I wrestled in college. One year ago I was 178 lbs. and very, very sick. Three major operations in the space of 12 days.

Most places have Tillapia to eat the crap....they move the Shrimp/Trout/Etc from tank to tank...and let the crap eaters in....

Almost all farm raised anything has an antibiotic, as any infection could become an outbreak in a short period of time.

Correct. ALL seafoods are being poisoned in this way, and they, like us are eating the same GMO pellets that fattern livestock. But as long as they are not a staple in your diet there's not much danger.

just because you ate the crap eating dorito covered fish for months....LOL......

Finding good fresh fruit all year is tough as well. Even Stanleys on North has bad fruit sometimes.
