Took a buddy of mine and his wife there for dinner Saturday to celebrate the settlement of a good work comp case he referred me. Never been before. Its down on Rush a block from Gibsons. Been there a long time. Fancy, Vietnamese/French place. One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. Place was outstanding.
My father recommended that I get the surf and turf entree, a filet and shrimp over a tomato basil rice pilaf. He said it was the best entree he'd ever had. I figured there was no way it would live up to the hype, but me and my buddy both got it and damn if it wasn't in the running for best entree either one of us had ever had. I don't know what they did, but I didn't know it was possible to make rice taste that good. Let alone the perfectly cooked and seasoned meat on the plate.
Every app we had was delicious as well.
Place ain't cheap, but its one of the few fine dining experiences where I walked out and immediately said I couldn't wait to go back again. Me and the wife decided we're gonna make it our special occasion place from now on.
Havent been in a long time, good to hear the place is still top notch. Dont like it when places go away like that.
