Saw this gem in the police blotter today. This kid had a shitty week.

A New Lenox teen was charged with his second DUI in just over a week this month. Kyle Smolucka, 19, of the 2800 block of Rydall Street in New Lenox, was charged with possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana and driving under the influence of marijuana. Police responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Prairie Road at about 11:24 p.m. Monday, March 12. According to reports, police spoke with the driver, Smolucka, and discovered he was under the influence of marijuana. It was the second arrest for Smolucka in just over a week. On March 4, he was stopped by Will County police in Jackson and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal consumption of alcohol by minor, illegal parking and possession of fake drivers license.

Friend of mine, who pretty much smokes daily, had to clean the system out for a physical due to a large insurance policy he was getting, and he would be taking a physical.

So for 2 months he stopped smoking. Had to replace the buzz. Started mixing drinks, martinis, etc every night.

Goes for the physical and his blood levels tested high for alcohol! FAIL Had to wait another 30 days to retest and had no drinks or hits for that time.

His father in law arranged the insurance policy and now just assumes his son in law is a drunk.

Bad thing for the kid is now in Illinois 2nd offense means mandatory prison term of no less than 2 years. That means 18 months. He will have a IDOC number and be in the system for ever,no way to get rid of it so it will pop up on every background check for life.

MADD should be taken about as seriously as PETA. Some of my favorite stories are about one of the self righteous Caller Bobs that is affiliated with that cult getting a DUI. You couldn't come up with a better story if you wanted to.
