I've tried counting calories using a random iPhone app, but it seemed inaccurate at best and was difficult to record every little thing I ate.

Anyone have any luck with eating multiple small meals throughout the day as opposed to three large meals?

whittled off about 15 lbs and down to 231. Can't wait to be in the 220s. Thought i posted this
earlier but it didn't take. Hoping to get back out on the asphalt jogging now that temps have
levelled off some. Quitting the health club since I didn't use it enough to justify the $46 a month
it was costing. There is a small gym at my apartment complex.

Diet is good, started running with Da' Wife about 8-12months ago. Just did a 5k in 25min, usually go for 3.5mile jog/runs.

Still lift weights 3 or so times per week. Usually total body in 45min.

Went from 250lbs to 230lbs.

BP good, HDL/LDL is good. I'm good.

I sort do small meals across the day. Breakfast: yogurt, protein bar, fruit. Mid-Morning Snack: fruit/pretzels, Lunch: small salad/soup for lunch, Mid-Afternoon: fruit/granola bar, Dinner: regular large meal. Post work-out: peanut butter on wheat bread and/or fruit. Also drink shit-ton of water.

I've dropped from 245 in May to 226 today. Though I can't say its primarily due to the small meals as I stopped lifting in the summer and took up running. For me at least, it's easier to follow portion control and selecting healthier food with small "meals". I'd say it's probably a combination of healthier food, portion control, lost muscle and some fat loss. But , gonna get back to the lifting/swimming to get money's worth outta Lifetime.

I didn't know you were a big guy.

If I saw you in a dark alley I'd still take you though.

I'd also fight you.

I've definitely enjoyed running and cycling as of late. I try to keep up with weightlifting but have a hard time keeping up with any program. P90X was difficult, but certainly saw results. It's just boring as hell.

That's half the point. You'll eat less simply to avoid the hassle if you're dedicated.

I don't subscribe to it. For me, it's really, really important to having a satiating dinner. When I cut, I eat a small breakfast, a moderate lunch, a mid-afternoon snack, and a ~800 calorie dinner.

Doing the following:

- Cut out beer. Occasional wine instead.
- Reducing coffee with a lot of sugar and creme. I have a smaller cup in the morning and tea during the day.
- 3 fiber pills and a protein shake in the morning.
- I keep granola bars, nuts, oatmeal and cottage cheese at the office for occasional snacking during the day.
- I don't believe in the 64 oz of water a day thing. Makes me pee a lot and I feel like crap most of the day.
- I try to eat more for lunch then end up with a smaller dinner. I have been trying to limit eating after 7 (as I sit hear and eat a rice bar).

At 147 lbs I could audition for a role as a Walking Dead zombie.

After today's Labor Day weigh in, I'm down 6 lbs. in 2 weeks so I have that going for me. Another 17 to go. :|. As an aside , got a massage yesterday at Massage Envy which is the second professional massage I've ever had and I have to say, it definitely moved.

2.5 miles in 20 minutes yesterday at about 8:30am.

Trying to get 3 miles into 24 minutes.

Getting back to 5 plates on deadlifts would be nice as well.

Down to 189 , 9 more to go. Doing 5 days of cardio a week about 40 minutes duration and just watching what I'm eating. Feels good to be able to fit into old clothes again.

At 195 from 215. This beer is probably not helping.
