I did it twice. The second time, a little bit was all it took.

Just not for me.

Alcohol is clearly the gateway drug for the majority of people...never tried coke, afraid I would like it..tripped and shroomed a couple dozen times...not a pill popper or into hard drugs.

Acid was horrible. Did it twice. Never, ever did it again after that so it's been about 25 years.

Shrooms on the other hand, I would do tomorrow if I could get a hold of them.

Order a spore kit online and grow your own

That's fine. We all tried those by the time we were 10.

Anyone do hard drugs?

I had a very brief dance with snow. Nothing else though.

Anyone do anything more? (dont be shy)

You name it & I've done it. Pot, Hash, Shrooms, Speed, Coke, PCP, Mescaline, Acid. We used to put hits of window pane in our eyes because it fucked you up quicker. I did it before a Led Zeppelin concert in 1977 when Plant had laryngitis & Page had a broken finger. I sat through the entire concert like a zombie.
My favorite drug was definitely speed (black beauties). They wouldn't get you high as much as they would give you energy & stamina & you wouldn't eat for 24 hours. I remember buying a jar of 100 for something like $15 bucks in 1981.
When I finally realized that I didn't like being high, I quit everything except booze. I was the first guy in my circle of friends to quit. You can imagine how that went over.

That is a little surprising.

Why is that surprising? Many burnouts & druggies from the 1970's are now successful conservative republicans! I could tell you stories full of crazy shit...but its late..& I gotta get up at 7:30 for a meeting.

They definitely said no such thing.

 That's kinda what I figured.

I've tried a lot of stuff but don't do drugs anymore. Weed, coke, LSD, opium, crack, shrooms, booze, cigarettes.
Never done heroin, that shit just scared me a bit too much but knew a lot of people that did do it.

Cigarettes in like 6th or 7th grade. Never liked them, glad I never started smoking.
Alcohol when I was about 15, pot not long after that.
Tried LSD once and either it didn't work or it was weak as hell because I didn't feel much of anything. One time I smoke weed that I was told had opium in it. That is it for me. The only other drugs I've ever seen are shrooms.

Only thing I do now is drink. I drive a company vehicle so I can't do anything else on account of it I get in an accident I have to take a drug test. I liked smoking pot on occasion, but its not worth losing my job over.

It was the 1977 Physical Graffiti tour. Plant sounded like crap, Page was fine.

Booze first around 8th grade/Freshman year. Not a lot of it, just every 2 weeks or so, never got totally smashed until my sophomore year.

Pot happened around Jr. year, again, didn't do it a lot after that. Every once and a while.

It was those 2 until my Sophomore year of college. That's when I tried coke for the first time.....and that started a multi-year love affair with the White Lady. I was doing it a lot. 3 days a week and sometimes 4. Never just doing it to do it but I did it a lot.

Steroids, did them.

Snorted H twice....that was a night to remember. Coke, H, pot and a half Vic plus whiskey. My brain chemistry was off for a week or two after that. That gave me pause. That resulted in a good friend of mine pulling me aside the day after and asking the eternal question, "What the hell are you doing?"

Mushrooms a few times...good shit, loved it. We got a few 1/8th's, one for each of us. Orange capped and they were one giant shroom per 1/8th, it was magic.

Never did acid, opium, oxy or any of that.

Now I maybe smoke pot once every couple of months now, if that. It's pretty much IPA and scotch these days.

It was 1975. Physical Graffiti was released in the winter of 1975 after delays because of the artwork. Page broke his finger getting into (or out of) a train back in Britain. Plant caught a bad flu because the tour started in Minneapolis in January, and he didn't have a winter coat.

Don't debate me on the Zeppelin.

Scorehead,

What was PCP like? I don't think I would know what it is even if it was sitting right in front of me.

Do you smoke it or what?

PCP was a hallucinogen & was more commonly called "Angel Dust". Looks like coke. Most people snorted it. I did it a few times & don't really remember what the high was like, but it is dangerous stuff & caused many people to freak out.

I may run for office one day.

This thread will only come back to haunt me. I will admit that alcohol was once a problem.
