Just wasted an hour reading this interview...Te'o is a fucking loser. The best part is when he says she actually came out of her coma when he was on the phone with her. At several points it must have been very hard for Schaap not to completely bust out laughing and calling bullshit.

-Schaap was used by Te'o and probably instructed by ESPN to go soft and let him tell his version without trapping him in a lie. Cuz he could have done that. Deadspin did it after reviewing the interview. All big time college programs are partners with ESPN.

-It was done of a Friday. Late at night no less. That's when you release news like this. Cuz it gets lost in the weekend when the mainstream media is off. Come Monday, everybody will be talking about the NFL and the next athlete that gets in trouble. There's always at least one a week it seems.

- It's done as far as Te'o talking. His handlers probably told him to tell reporters that he said everything he had to say to Schaap and that he won't talk any more on the issue.

- I think the 3 or 4 days of Te'o not talking was him setting up the story. Have this guy take the fall. Cuz he's not the money maker. Hell, he even showed Schaap the apology he got on his direct twitter line. How convienent. How does the guy fooling you have direct twitter communication with you?

- T'eo contradicted what the ND's AD said. The AD is left looking like a fool. He'll have to answer for that. He wont' be able to avoid reporters like T'eo. ND was also trying to cover this up. Neither ND nor T'eo would have come out with this had deadspin not broken the story.

- T'eo is a sociopath, a pathological liar and a scumbag. He was in on this hoax from day one. Anybody that doesn't realize that is a fool.

The best thing for the University to do is to throw him under the bus Monday morning. & since they're @ it, they might try to put the Church's other cover ups on him, too.

He lied to his parents about meeting her. Apparently there is a record of the conversations that sort of prove his story. I'm just curious why a college player's love life or lack thereof is such a major issue. He's a Mormon so he wasn't going to be having sex anyway.

Because when the most visible player on the country's most visible college football team says he has a girlfriend, but it later turns out that he may or may not have been the victim of an elaborate, months long Twitter hoax, in which he was lead to believe that the love of his life got in a car accident then later died of leukemia, well people are going to find that shit rather interesting.

No reason to try getting to in depth on this. The guy referred to this figment of someones imagination (his or anyone else's) as his girlfriend and the love of his life. He never met her......To claim someone is your girlfriend, you should have spent time together. The idea that a relationship that took place only in the cyber world means anything, is crazy and anyone buying into it is stupid.

Stop the hatting. It's a brillant, original idea that needs to be called into the Score three times tomorrow, and possibly one at 'PN too, you know? These thoughts should not be contained in the dungeon of the CSFMB. No. they need to be immortalized to the ages via radio. Think about it like this... if there are aliens 76 light years away on some distant plant, and they happen to tune into the right frequence at the right time, this thought might represent humanity's intelligence to some alien species billions of miles away. And they might choose not to invade based on the inference that they are no match for our intellect. Steve is saving the human race here. We should be thanking him. We might owe him our great great great chandhildren's lives here. Who amongst us is as great a warrior?
