"Send in the Clowns" is the appropriate introductory song for the Cubs.

I'll take 2005 and a 2012 pennant race over 1918 and 100 losses? Next, Eric?Reply · 1 · Like· 2 hours ago.Gary Krall · Top Commenter
I'll take the Cubs record over the Sox any day. 2nd most wins in the history of the league, 6th best win percentage, more pennants, HOF players, HOF coaches, WS appearances....the list goes on. If you think 1 more WS championship in over 100 years gives the Sox the edge, then go for it. You Sox fans will be hanging your hats on 2005 for the rest of your lives!Reply · 6 · Like· 2 hours ago.Add a Reply... ..

Yeah, not enough Cubs Sox arguments here, better start importing them.

Every thread you start is losing quality. It's not a compliment to the initial offerings.

Yeah, this one was not needed but the Rosey Colomn one stuck in my crawl and others on here felt the same way. The Jordan HOF speech thread was also worth a debate. They can't all be grand slams (as in Wendy's breakfast items)

I didn't make any of those comments. I did enjoy that last one though because the Sox have not been any more succesful than the Cubs. 2005 was a fluke.

jimmy, when we talk about the lifetimes of most living human beings, the Sox have been far more successful. Why don't you and that idiot commenter have a look at the teams' respective records post-WWII? If we go back far enough we can also find a shining moment when Neanderthal Man was more successful than Homo Sapiens.

The White Sox have 3 titles. The Cubs have two.

Post 1950 the Sox have played .522 baseball. How many teams do you think have done better in that span? What do you think the Cubs have done in that span?

I believe John Wayne Gacy also had a Rosey Column stuck in his crawl.

If you are a Sox fan, good for you, cubs fan, good for you.

Acknowledge shortcomings of your team though.
