It would be something if he gambled away all his money.

And if the rumors about his dad's death being linked to his gambling are true, I dont see how he could NOT be miserable

How? He's still doing it at a greater level. Wouldn't that make you stop?

Not necessarily. Addiction is extremely powerful.

Good point. Not sure.

As FF said, addiction is a powerful thing.

I know a guy who played locally and was an NBA 14th guy for five years. A practice guy, that made a nice living on the NBA minimum.

He spent a season on the Bulls. Went to Vegas one night with MJ while they were on there early season West Coast swing. MJ walked into Ceasars with $750K and blew it all at a blackjack table in less than one hour.

The last time I was in Vegas,I had a lot of fun playing the Roulette machine. It was perfect for me,no human interaction and I'm playing my favorite game. I ended up winning a few bucks or coming out even,I lost track. So that makes me a better gambler than MJ. I knew I could beat that bitch at something!

So when he was making about $200 Mill a year he dropped $750K on Blackjack. Maybe he dropped $2 Mill that night, maybe he did it 10 times a year.

Like I said, I think he will be OK.

Let me also blow some holes in that story
-MJ is not hanging with 14th guy on the bench and flying to Vegas with him. Jordan is a spoiled child, its what he is, but he just isnt chartering a flight with a guy to fly down to Vegas for the night who isnt "cool" enough. Maybe that does make him a douche, but its an unlikely occurance.
-If Jordan went for one night to Vegas, which he did a a few times, he stayed and played at the Mirage. While not a formal exclusive deal with the Mirage, It was one of the nicest places during Jordans playing days and they gave him everything they could to make sure he stayed there. (Penthouse, Plane, Lobster "TAILS", etc)
-One thing I am sure of is that MJ didnt walk into any casino with $750K on him. Its called a marker in Vegas, you sign the slip, they bring you chips. Not that it would be hard for MJ to get anywhere, but it still takes some time to set it up for anyone, which is why he didnt go from hotel to hotel. Unless he is walking around with the cash in a briefcase, this alone makes the whole story false in my mind.
