I mean, if it's not too much trouble. That'd be great.

The sun made it feel a lot warmer. I was out for about 20 mind without gloves or a hat and I didn't feel too cold.

We don't have "sick" days per se...you either use vacation or it's unpaid personal time.

In a case like today, where so many didn't come in because of the weather, you can take the day unpaid without it counting against your personal time.

I say do it...on my way home I saw someone who I can only imagine was walking at least a couple miles lugging a 30 pack of Keystone...so if they have that much dedication for that...well...

We didn't even close when we got the 20" of snow back in early 2011. If its not a holiday or a weekend, we're open.

elitist much? only some people have sick days, let alone personal days. most take a day off and thats $150 out of your monthly wages, which can easily ruin the next couple months if youre on a tight budget.

Van started up fine and the roads/traffic actually weren't bad at all. I expected a lot more ice & snow on the roads the last two mornings.

Pulled up to work just in time to have the blower motor go out on the van. Can't drive around today with no heat!

Nice! The RPB family doing their part to combat the pussification of America.

I understand the waiting for the bus, walking to school, all being tough. Why not just leave the schools open 'Assuming they have heat" and if you can make it great, if not, OK.

I will assume taking care of a kid at home unexpected for a couple days is harder than the trip to school?

And the suburban Minivan army? come on....90% of these moms have juice boxes, cookies and I am guessing hot chocolate with a movie running for these kids after they walk the 50 feet from the door to the minivan.

This is one of those things that uses perfect common sense, but there must be insurance or liabilities or whatever that causes this not to happen.

That assumes that most of the teachers will show up and if they don't...who teaches/watches the children that made the trek to school?
