We don't have "sick" days per se...you either use vacation or it's unpaid personal time.

In a case like today, where so many didn't come in because of the weather, you can take the day unpaid without it counting against your personal time.

I say do it...on my way home I saw someone who I can only imagine was walking at least a couple miles lugging a 30 pack of Keystone...so if they have that much dedication for that...well...

Wife's office, and kid's school are closed tomorrow.

Van started up fine and the roads/traffic actually weren't bad at all. I expected a lot more ice & snow on the roads the last two mornings.

Pulled up to work just in time to have the blower motor go out on the van. Can't drive around today with no heat!

I understand the waiting for the bus, walking to school, all being tough. Why not just leave the schools open 'Assuming they have heat" and if you can make it great, if not, OK.
