if the military is saying they don't, you know they do.

Fuel, spare parts? Maintenance crews? Weapons?

This is is chest beating, for sure, these planes may get up in the air but they won't be up for long.

definitely. but can you imagine how excited some of our pilots must be? i would imagine they are drooling at the thought. they havent seen any action in... i dont even know. i mean, dropping bombs and flying recon missions isnt exactly dogfighting.

we also made that ridiculously expensive f22 specifically to shoot down other planes. now, it actually isnt the best dog fighter- it doesnt need to be because it can shoot down planes before the enemy even knows its out there. miles away.

so maybe it wouldnt be an exciting fight... honestly there is no way it would be but still... just to be that guy who aims and pulls the trigger while watching an enemy plane blow up i bet would be cool as hell.

I think they might have troubles finding pilots...and almost no good pilots

huh? isis is comprised in good portion by the old iraq military. those former pilots are training new isis shitheads. they will be able to fly... but they will still be in ancient shitty planes. its more comical than anything

damn ike.... who knew that you were up to date with somewhat intimate knowledge of the US air force's current setup?

that last line there was all kinds of profound and therefore is destined to be my new signature quote. well said, mon frere!

If it isn't the best it's close, still hyper-maneuverable with vectored thrust and very powerful engines.

This is an excellent excuse to impose a no-fly zone.

It has a gun and can use Sidwinders. I believe further upgrades to later Blocks were halted though, so no side mounted AESA or IRS-T.
