It's why every single time you hear a cop say 'They reached into their wasteband or belt" this is what they think will happen. Yes, I am sure some cops exist that use the excuse when it doesnt happen, but this is the job that 99% of those who criticize them would never take.....no matter how much money.

Just because I don't have the desire to be a cop, I can't criticize cops who abuse their power? IMU vibe.

Not asking you to stop criticizing those who abuse the power, I will too, but I have read many stories lately about cop shootings and their is almost an assumption now that cops are shooting at unarmed, innocent people just standing around with their hands up. I know dirty cops exist, but the % of those who abuse powers to the point of just shooting innocent people doing nothing has to be very small.

I even think the % of those who started off clean cops and became dirty just out of frustration is why guys should be transfered to less violent areas or jobs frequently.

I think most people would acknowledge that the overwhelming majority of cops aren't criminals and the majority of them are decent people who don't go to work looking for a confrontation or looking to be an asshole.

Agreed. My commentary on police is generally about the institution (and how it corrupts), not individuals.

My buddy Tommy is a cop, on an ISP task force for catching fugitives. He was involved in the search for that holiday hills wacko. They didn't want McHenry, island lake or holiday hills catching the guy cause they figured they'd grab him and fuck him and kill him.

I don't know about that. Especially on this site.

I think people misinterpret valid complaints about cops as "All cops are the devil". Some don't think you should ever criticize or challenge people in power. I disagree.
