For the most part they have. Malia took a little heat for dressing like a teenager at a rock show and maybe smoking some weed, but the media has pretty much been respectful of the Obama family over the past eight years. Chelsea Clinton was another matter. Some of the stuff that was said about her was beyond the pale. Limbaugh was just brutal. Shameful stuff.
SNL was brutal to her. I think someone had to tell Wayne's World to lay off her.
