Anybody have any clue how frequently they update the site? I am trying to verify a doc was recorded but the website http://162.217.184.82/i2/default.aspx says "Index Posted Through: 11-09-2016."

That was more than a month ago. Have they all been on vacation since then?

Move.

I suspect calling their office is probably the only shot, albeit not a great one, someone on the outside has of getting a question like that answered.

Check to see if anything was recorded after 11/9?

This.

Typically, they will have more info over the phone.

Also might want to just call the title company who closed the deal - they will have a copy of the recorded deed.

Moving is not my first choice because that would require more deed recording.

It does appear stuff has been recorded after the 9th.

I was hoping to avoid calling. Navigating byzantine governmental voice mail trees and sitting on hold as warm up acts to dealing with a disinterested bureaucrat busy suckling on the public teat is not my idea of a good time. Killing myself would be preferential.

Maybe I'll go over to the rolling meadows court house and see if I can find an actual human. If not then I'll try the title company.

Thanks,

I use the Kane County version frequently, and have looked through the Cook version from time to time. The Cook version is clunky. Those recordings are pretty slow. It should pop up within a few months, and it depends on the type of document. If it is a mortgage release from a prior lender, it is going to depend on how quickly they process the paperwork at the lender's operation.

Thanks,

Save the time and just call the title company. They will instinctively fear a title insurance claim and get you an answer ASAP.
