Hard to say whether the Hawks truly had a dynasty with no repeat Final appearances while the Penguins had two pairs, the second time repeating as champions. But then you have three in six versus three in nine and far more playoff wins (Hawks zeroing out in '07, '08, '17, and '18 is what does it), but the Penguins during the Blackhawks' three in six never truly felt like they were at the top. It's a shared era between Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles the way 1994-2004 was shared between Detroit, New Jersey, Colorado, and Dallas.

A dynasty has to include the original champions handing off to a second generation which also includes a champion.

I think you can include the Bulls as, even though Jordan and Scottie were still on the team there is a clear delineation with the retirement and an important, new cast.

We have a lending library at work, someone broke the seal and started bringing in DVD's. The LA Law reunion movie is there, and now, there are also several seasons of Dynasty available.



A sports dynasty= number of titles that is beyond what any team should be able to do in a short time.
