i do have some standards. i wouldn't do this in a public restroom. but my wife will be doing whatever it is that she does in the mornings or evenings and i'm at my sink slurping on the faucet like i'm 7.

i put used dishes in the sink and fill them with water. i'd probably still do this even if the dishwasher was empty and open.

I don't know either, but you are providing me with entertainment (or content as we like to say around these parts). And that's a really good thing.

i only mentioned it because i once had to sit and listen to my mother and wife complain about this trait about me.

when my wife wanted a dish washer, i was like, why? we've got 3 of them (my 3 children). Eventually i agreed but told her i'm not putting dishes in it. thats the trade off. she didn't really agree but i do it anyway.

I count stairs and steps when in unfamiliar places. When I was 5 or 6 I fell down a landing at my grandmother's house thinking there was no more steps before the landing and turn down the rest of the flight of stairs.
So now I count stairs as I ascend or descend them, which is helpful given how many unfamiliar houses I find myself in during the course of a day.
When leaving the stairs I find myself counting thr steps to whatever my destination is.
Sonic I'm in some jerks basement and the power goes out in now its 10 steps to the stairs, a left and 13 steps up.
Of course i always have a flashlight so why that worries me I'll never know.
