No.

I just go with what I know or like. If I try something new it's not because of some commercial. It's cuz came across it at a store, had a good-ass feeling about it and thought I'd try it.

Oddly, there are some brands and services I will never use because of their advertising.

The disclaimers in the ads for just about any prescription drug terrify the crap out of me.

Don't take this medication if you have 10 fingers. If you awaken in an abnormally large pool of vomit and blood, you should notify your physician...

Don't take Midgetxryl if you are allergic to Midgetxryl. Uh, no shit.

the best is when the commercial tries to grandstand with their product like it isn't at all in anyway harmful. like there's one that has some animated mascot saying "take THAT, moderate to severe psoriasis!" (something to that effect) and then still goes on for at least 3 minutes on the possible side effects that include suicidal thoughts.

i believe "suicidal thoughts" was also a side effect for a bipolar disorder drug ad. i mean...should the drug come with a noose too?

I'd have to agree with RR. Product placement plays a huge unconscious role. If there's a special display dedicated to one product that has a ton of stock and a large sticker indicating a special price or whatever, odds are you'd either go with that or at least give it serious consideration. Depending on what you're buying of course.

Pair an old lady with the pizza samples at Mariano’s, and I will surely be sucked into buying a $9 Doreen’s pizza pie.
