For me, I just prefer the message board format to a chat format. But I'm an old guy.

I think bigfan's mistake was that he didn't understand that he couldn't control where people go on the Internet. You just have to supply a forum where people want to participate.

I do think it's somewhat disingenuous that most of the complaints about CFMB have been about "offensive" content, i.e. racism, bigotry, yet people are so eager to go where they can palaver with the worst offenders.




I never knew what happened to BigFan.. just thought he got tired of running the place and handed it over to you blokes.


With you on digging the forum format. It’s the perfect combination for bullshitting, having a community, and keeping some anonymity. You lose some of that stuff with different formats.

Also if you join please try to make your server name your board name for verification. If not you will be given aqua coloring on your name for "known or suspected mult". The orange color is for "distinguished guests" which are known board members.

If you already have a discord name you can change your CFMB discord name easily just for that one channel.
