What is the best one you've witnessed personally or in the news or that you have done to someone else?

XRT has had some good ones. Sometime in the mid-aughts they pretended like they were canceling Saturday Morning Flashback and advertised that alleged fact for about two weeks. They got a ton of angry voicemails and emails before revealing it was a joke.

As a youth (and disclaimer -- I don't even know if I did this for April Fools or not) I took my morning shower before school, then when I was done, I unscrewed the shower head, put a beef boullion cube in there, and rescrewed it together before leaving for school. My parents had their own shower, so that present was reserved for my sister who always showered after me.

Where I work, we design and sell playground equipment. Had a large, custom project that had been a few years going through design, fundraising, manufacturing. On April 1st, it was sitting on the dock at the manufacturer and our sales person calls them saying the customer decided not to go through with the purchase. He then call the customer and tells them that the manufacturer was having issues with the design and it would be extremely delayed. For the entire morning he was getting angry calls, texts, emails from all sides, including our owner because he didn’t let her in on it.

I heard this one the radio, possibly Steve Dahl. I set up a PITA saleswoman a few years ago. I wrote down a name and number and left it on her desk with a note explaining this guy called and is looking for a new supplier. The name was Mr. Foxx and the phone number was for the Lincoln Park Zoo. So she called the zoo and asked for Mr. Foxx. She was not pleased, but TFB, the rest of the office and I thought it was pretty funny.

I think I have mentioned this here before. In high school, I had a really good English teacher who I was close with write me up a fake suspension slip for getting into a fight. It was the real document, and he scribbled the principal's name on it and everything. My parents were so pissed. I think deep down my dad was kind of happy that I had it in me to fight, but he was still mad about me being suspended for ten days. I think I kept the gag going until about 9pm that night before I told my folks it was fake. Their reaction was a mix of relief and even more anger

Years back the day Mancow and GCI flipped frequencies...that was hysterical.

I don't know whose listeners were more angry.

What made it even funnier was Mancow long joked that he knew his career would be over when he had to resort to playing classic rock and oldies. Once i figured out it was the Home Team on his station and went to GCI....I hear the end of LA Woman and Mancow breaking in with Johnny radio voice from the 70's.

it really was great on both stattions.
